Assess these postings, on approval

POST
/api/postings/assess
curl --request POST \
--url http://127.0.0.1:8765/api/postings/assess \
--header 'Content-Type: application/json' \
--data '{ "approve": true, "jobs": [ "https://boards.greenhouse.io/acme/jobs/101" ] }'

Assess these: ask first (count and estimate), assess the postings on approval. What a run’s assess step did, without a run. Nothing is assessed without approval: with no approve: true the answer is status: "ask" with question (how many would be assessed, per profile, and the estimate from the recorded model calls; question.yes.api is the call that approves) and no model call is made. model_input_summary then says what the postings asked about would send and where: per profile its id, label and resume_source (profile_view | master_evidence), whether saved answers and stories go with it, the model_target and where it runs, and whether a posting is fetched from its public board first; ids, labels and counts, never a line of the user’s text (null once a batch ran). approve: true is Scout’s own approval: it does not replace the user’s choice, or an agent runtime’s own approval of the call. With approve: true the batch is recorded as approved (approval: its id, who approved, how many), runs as live work (the pipeline and the rank lane start nothing meanwhile; a second batch answers 409 assess_batch_running) and each posting is assessed for its best profile through the job page’s own path, from the posting text already stored (a posting with none has its description fetched first: one request for it alone, counted in assessed.fetched_on_demand). 0.1.11.4: each posting of the batch (50 at most) is first asked about at its board (one request, none within the hour); one the board no longer lists is not assessed: no model call, removed_at is set, it is in assessed.failed as posting_closed and counted in assessed.closed_skipped (the key is absent when none was closed). The results are stored like any assessment, so GET /api/postings, GET /api/new and GET /api/jobs show them. status is then assessed; assessed.failed lists what could not be assessed, by error code and, for a missing description, a reason; a typed cause (model_target_unavailable, model_denied, model_unavailable, assess_timeout, model_output_invalid, assessment_not_stored) also carries model_call_started, may_have_used_tokens, fresh_assessment_stored and next_action. A posting whose assessment is current is left out (counts.already_current) unless again; not_found lists named postings that are not in the stored postings. NAMED POSTINGS (0.1.11.8): a job in jobs need not be in a role’s list. One the company index holds (GET /api/search lists it) is found by its address and assessed all the same, once, as the job it is (0.1.11.9: no role is chosen; profile_id, or the default role, is only recorded on the assessment as the role that asked): question.text says it is in no role’s list, its row has profiles: [] and no tags, and the assessment is the job’s, stored like any other. A copy of a job posted once per country is assessed as the job: one assessment whichever copy is named. An address that is the system’s public job page and not the stored URL names the stored posting; the rows and question.yes carry the stored identity. Only a URL no stored board holds is not_found. nothing_to_assess when nothing is left. A posting whose rank score is below fit.assess_min_rank (50; one not ranked yet is not) is left out of the batch and counted (counts.low_rank_skipped); low_rank is then the separate question for those ({kind, skipped, min_rank, estimate, text, yes}; its yes.api body carries include_low_rank: true), and when only low-ranked postings are selected the status is ask with question.to_assess 0. 50 AT A TIME: one approval assesses the TOP 50 of them BY RANK and never more (0.1.11.2: the best rank score first; a posting not ranked yet after the ranked ones, the newest first by the day the posting went up, else by when Scout first stored it). ranking ({enabled, in_progress, window_days, by_profile: [{profile_id, ranked, total}]}, as GET /api/postings) says how far the background rank is: while in_progress, the 50 are the top of what is ranked so far. question.to_assess and counts.to_assess are all of them, batch what this approval assesses (at most 50) and more_after what is left; the estimate and the text are the batch’s (“Assess the top 50 by rank of 120 postings? ~50 calls … (70 more after these 50)”), and the same call again assesses the next 50. The call waits for the model: allow a minute per four postings. No response mixes: posting text only, nothing the user wrote.

Media typeapplication/json
object
actor

Who approves: operator (default) or agent.

string
Allowed values: operator agent
again

True: also the postings whose assessment is current.

boolean
approve

True: assess (one model call per posting). Left out or false: only ask.

boolean
background

With approve: true starts the batch and answers 202 at once with the GET /api/postings/assess/status object (status: started); the batch runs on. Left out: the request answers when the batch is done.

boolean
include_low_rank

True: also the postings whose rank score is below fit.assess_min_rank (50). Left out: they are skipped and counted (low_rank).

boolean
jobs

The postings to assess, by job identity (posting URL). Without it the filter below selects them.

array
profile_id

A filter on the tags: only the jobs this active role found. A job is assessed once, whichever role is named (0.1.11.9).

string
query

Filter: words that must all be in the title, company or location.

string
states

Filter: states to keep (as GET /api/postings state).

array
us_only

Filter (0.1.11.8): US only, as GET /api/postings us_only. Left out: the setup’s default. A filter selects what the list shows: no posting located outside the US while it is on, and ONE posting per job (the row of its copies), so a job posted once per country is one model call. Not applied to jobs.

boolean
window

Filter: new, 7d or 30d (as GET /api/postings).

string
Allowed values: new 7d 30d
Example
{
"approve": true,
"jobs": [
"https://boards.greenhouse.io/acme/jobs/101"
]
}
