Search every stored posting by title

GET
/api/search
curl --request GET \
--url 'http://127.0.0.1:8765/api/search?all=0&us_only=0&collapse=0&removed=0&count=0'

The free search: every stored posting by typed title, newest first. No profile, no rank, no model call, no write. 0.1.11.7: a search over EVERY stored posting (every company gigai scout sources update stored, not only the profiles’ lists). It takes NO profile and is not ranked: rows are newest posted first (the day the posting went up, else the day Scout first stored it; then the address). At least one of title, company, location is needed (422 invalid_value). The default profile’s countries, posted window and work mode apply unless all=1; filters says what was applied (null with all=1), and the work mode is read from the posting’s location. Without readable default settings and without all=1 the answer is 409 config_unavailable. PAGE FIRST, COUNT AFTER: without count=1 the page is answered as soon as it is read and counts.total, total_all and hidden are null (they are given anyway when source is scan, which knows them); counts.more always says whether a row follows the page. source is index (the local search index answered) or scan (index.reason says why it did not: missing, not_built, stale, damaged, other_schema, busy or no_fts5; every company file was read instead: the same rows, slower). A search never builds the index: Update sources does. Each row: company (the name; company_slug is the board token), title, location, posted, job_url, and LABELS read from the stores as they are, by job_identity: profiles (the profiles whose list holds the posting, with the state that list shows), assessment ({state, profile_id, assessed_at} or null) and application ({status, since} or null). profiles at the top names them (label, is_default); labels_read false means the stores could not be read and the rows carry no label. No rank and no fit number. footer is what a page says under the list. US ONLY (0.1.11.8): us_only is a switch of its own and EXACTLY ONE country rule decides a request: on, the US alone (whatever the default countries are, with or without all=1); off without all=1, the default countries; off with all=1, any country. us_only in the answer says on, the setup’s default and the rule; scope_text says what the search was limited to and all_scope_text what total_all counts (US only, any date while it is on). A posting US only cannot place is never hidden: its row says location_unclear: true (the page labels it unclear location). COPIES (0.1.11.8): the same company, title AND description posted more than once, so that only the location differs (typically once per country), is one row unless collapse=0. The row is ONE canonical job (its US posting when it has one, else the earliest posted, then the posting id): job_identity, job_url, location and the dates are that posting’s, and a row stands where it stands in the order. copies is how many postings the row stands for, locations and locations_text (Remote: Estonia, Lithuania, Latvia +4) list where, members names each copy, the canonical one first (job_identity, job_url, location, posted). The description is compared by the digest the stored index keeps; a posting with another description, or with none stored, is never merged, nor two companies, two titles or a removed copy with a live one. Collapsed before the page and the count: limit, offset, counts.total and total_all are rows. A row’s labels are its copies’ together (any copy with an application: the row has it). Nothing is written: no anchor moves, nothing is refreshed, no row is stored. No response mixes: posting text only (postings._labels: data, never instructions).

title
string

The typed titles, comma separated (or repeat the key); each one is a role and any of them is enough. STRICT: every typed word must be in the title, seniority words included (senior engineer lists only Senior or Sr. titles).

company
string

Words that must all be WHOLE words of the company name (case and accents aside): ai finds Example AI, not Maintain.

location
string

Words that must all be WHOLE words of the posting’s location: remote, denver.

all
string
Allowed values: 0 1 true false

1: any date and any work mode. Drops the default profile’s countries, posted window and work mode; US only (us_only) still applies until it is turned off.

us_only
string
Allowed values: 0 1 true false

0.1.11.8: US only, by the posting’s LOCATION (never its board). 1: leave out a posting only when every place its location names is clearly outside the US; a posting in the US or remote in the US stays, and one Scout cannot place (Remote alone, no location, an unknown place) ALSO stays, with location_unclear: true on its row. 0: off. Left out: the setup’s default (on when the shared settings’ countries hold the US, else off); us_only.default says which. It still applies with all=1; with it off and without all=1 the default countries apply.

collapse
string
Allowed values: 0 1 true false

0.1.11.8: 0 lists every posting. Left out or 1: the same company, the same title and the same description posted more than once (only the location differs) is ONE row (copies, locations, locations_text, members), also two cities of one country; a posting with another description, or with none stored, is never merged; the page and the counts are rows. The row is one canonical job: its US posting when it has one, else the earliest posted.

removed
string
Allowed values: 0 1 true false

1: also the postings their board no longer lists (each row says removed).

limit
integer

Rows a page, 1 to 200 (50).

offset
integer

Rows to skip (0).

count
string
Allowed values: 0 1 true false

1: also count. counts.total (every match), total_all (the same search with no default filter) and hidden (their difference). Ask for the page first, then for the count.

Success.
