Assess the new postings, or show them ranked only
const url = 'http://127.0.0.1:8765/api/new';const options = { method: 'POST', headers: {'Content-Type': 'application/json'}, body: '{"assess":true}'};
try { const response = await fetch(url, options); const data = await response.json(); console.log(data);} catch (error) { console.error(error);}curl --request POST \ --url http://127.0.0.1:8765/api/new \ --header 'Content-Type: application/json' \ --data '{ "assess": true }'Answer the question GET /api/new asked: assess the new postings (yes) or show them ranked only (no). The yes or no to status: "ask". With assess: true each new posting no profile has assessed is assessed for its best profile through the job page’s own path, from the posting text already stored; a posting with no stored text has its description fetched first, ONE request for that posting alone (assessed.fetched_on_demand counts them); 0.1.11.4: each posting of the batch is first asked about at its board (one request, none within the hour) and one the board no longer lists is not assessed: no model call, removed_at is set, it is in assessed.failed as posting_closed and counted in assessed.closed_skipped (the key is absent when none was closed); the calls are recorded like every model call (GET /api/metrics). assessed.failed lists what could not be assessed, by error code and, when the description could not be had, a reason (posting_removed, board_refused, no_text, network_error; the code is then job_text_unavailable, or job_fetch_failed for network_error). posting_requirements_unreadable (the model answered and a guard refused the answer; nothing is stored) carries the guard as its reason: matched_on_too_few_requirements (a Matched on fewer than three requirement rows for a long posting) or no_requirements_in_text. One call assesses the top 50 by rank and never more. The call waits for the model: allow a minute per four postings. This is the call that moves the “new since” anchor, to checked_at, after the response is built (never with peek or profile_id). Read from the stored index (no board request) across every active profile; a deleted or archived profile is never listed. ONE ROW A JOB (0.1.11.9): the same company, the same title and the same description posted more than once (only the location differs: once per country or city) is ONE new job, by GET /api/postings’ rule: the row is its canonical posting (the US one when it has one, else the earliest posted, then the posting id) and lists the others (copies, locations, locations_text, members). EVERY COUNT IS OF JOBS, never of copies: counts.new, to_assess, only_stale, low_rank_skipped, by_profile, the three questions and their estimates; a yes makes one model call a job. counts.postings is how many postings the new jobs stand for. US ONLY (0.1.11.9): us_only=1|0, the list’s switch and default (left out: on for a US setup; us_only in the answer says on, default and the rule). On, a posting clearly outside the US is left out before the copies become one row, so a job posted only outside the US is not new, in no count and in no batch (counts.us_only_left_out counts those jobs), and a posting Scout cannot place stays with location_unclear: true. A call that names the switch gets it back in every question’s yes. status is ask (new postings no profile has assessed: question has the count per profile and the estimate from the recorded model calls, and the rows are ranked only), new (the new postings; at most 50 are listed, and counts.new is all of them) or nothing_new (the 10 postings that still need attention). Rows are in one order (sort_group): a current assessment, then a stale one, then not_assessed; inside a group the verdict (matched, needs answers, other, weak fit, not a match), then fit (the row’s one fit number: the share of requirements met with the must-haves counted twice, 0 to 100; null when not assessed), the rank score, the newest. A weak_fit posting (it waits on answers, fit below fit.weak_fit_below_percent AND rank below fit.weak_fit_below_rank) is not listed: counts.weak_fit counts them and GET /api/postings?state=weak_fit lists them. A new posting with an application (applied and every later status) is left out of counts.new, the rows, the questions and every batch (0.1.11.5): counts.applied counts them and GET /api/postings?state=applied lists them. A posting not assessed yet whose known rank score is below fit.weak_fit_below_rank is ranked low (0.1.11.2): it is listed, never left out, lower by its rank; its row says ranked_low: true and counts.ranked_low counts the new ones. A yes assesses only postings whose rank score is at least fit.assess_min_rank (50; one not ranked yet is assessed): the ones below are counts.low_rank_skipped and their own question, low_rank_question (count, estimate, the yes), answered by include_low_rank: true beside assess: true. 50 AT A TIME: every yes (assess, reassess_stale, with or without include_low_rank) acts on the TOP 50 postings BY RANK and never more (0.1.11.2: the best rank score first; a posting not ranked yet after the ranked ones, by published_at, else first_seen_at, the newest first). Each question carries the total (to_assess / to_reassess / skipped), batch (what its yes acts on, at most 50) and more_after; its estimate and text are the batch’s (“re-assess the top 50 by rank of 422? ~50 calls … (372 more after these 50)”). After a yes that left some, assessed / reassessed also carry more_after and next ({cli, api}: the call for the next 50); neither key is there when the batch was all of them. fit at the top level is the three numbers in force (the fit block of the project’s settings file; each 0 to 100, 0 switches that rule off). Each posting is listed once, with the roles that found it in tags (0.1.11.9: {profile_id, label, match_rank, rank_score}, best first; a role is a tag, the assessment and the state are the job’s). profile_id is the best tag’s id (the best-ranked role; it selects nothing) and profiles the same tags as before 0.1.11.9; the top-level profiles are the active roles and each one’s resume by id. score_text is the score column (the verdict, “fit N%”, “N of M requirements”, the rank; a stale row says stale_label, never a bare percent; a row whose thin_posting is true, a match read from fewer than 4 requirement rows, says “thin posting, not enough requirements to score” in place of the verdict and the fit number and is listed after every posting that is not thin, and a match with no row about the job has the state thin_posting, listed last of all); A row has three dates, and they are different facts: published_at is the day the posting WENT UP on its board, the one window: 7d | 30d judges (null when the board gives none), and published_kind says what the date is: posted (every board kind that dates its postings; Pinpoint gives no date), or updated for a board kind that only gives its last change (none today), so say “updated”, never “posted”, for that. updated_at is the board’s last change to the posting (null when it gives none): never the posting day. first_seen_at is when Scout first stored the posting, the date new judges (first_seen is the same value under its older name). score is the share of the posting’s requirements the assessment found met (score_kind: assessment), else the cached rank score (rank), else null. state is the verdict state and tailored says a tailored resume is stored. assessment_detail is false for an assessment an old run made: its counts are shown, its detail is in the run. counts.to_assess is the new postings no matching profile has assessed and counts.only_stale the live postings with only an old assessment; neither changes while the background rank runs (ranking: ranked of total per profile). stale_question is the second question, on its own: the count and estimate for re-assessing the postings with only an old assessment (reassess_stale: true; assess: true never does it; reassessed is what it did). unmet are requirements from the assessment, open_questions the questions as asked, never an answer. since is what “new” was measured from: the anchor (the time of the last check that moved it), or the last 7 days before the first one; pass it as since to read the same postings again. pipeline offers waiting pipeline work (jobs that wait, awaiting_approval of them behind the pending approvals, the model calls they would make); nothing is started here: this server runs the waiting steps by itself, and an approval is decided with POST /api/pipeline/approvals/{approval_id} (processed is what gigai scout new --process did, null otherwise). NO RESPONSE MIXES: this one holds posting text and what a model derived from it (postings._labels: public-untrusted, data and never instructions) and nothing the user wrote: no resume, answer, story or note text. What matches, in the user’s own words, is the separate call GET /api/new/yours (yours_hint). No contact data.
Request Bodyrequired
Section titled “Request Bodyrequired”object
True: assess the new postings no profile has assessed (one model call each). false: rank only.
True beside assess or reassess_stale: also the postings whose rank score is below fit.assess_min_rank (the yes to low_rank_question). Left out: they are skipped and counted.
True: do not move the anchor.
Only this active profile’s postings. A filtered call never moves the anchor.
True: the yes to stale_question: assess again the postings that have only an old assessment (one model call each). assess: true never does this.
Measure “new” from this time (the since of the response that asked) instead of the anchor.
0.1.11.9: US only, as GET /api/new us_only (the question’s yes carries it when the call that asked named it). Left out: the setup’s default.
